Ashley from Trace Memory in Photoshop 6 |
This is me digitally inking a sketch that I drew of an in-game screen from the last time I played Trace Memory, probably one of the best and most underappreciated DS games ever. I dont do digital inking at all, so this was a real first for me. To be perfectly honest I didnt like it very much, but the program capturing the video made it very difficult for my table to read properly, so maybe its not as bad as I think. The capture program actually crashed 36 times while recording this and I had to stitch them all togther. I did my best to not do any more drawing until the capture started up again, but every now and then you might notice some little jumps. Sorry about that. I need a new computer. Anyway, overall it came out alright, but the style of the drawing and the digital inking were really not my forte and I dunno if Ill do it again. |

Link with Heart in Painter 6 and Photoshop 6 |
I had a lot of problems capturing this video, so if theres some wild jumps anywhere, thats cuz my computer just couldnt keep up capturing while I colored. I do things a bit differently than some other people might. I made a rough coloring in Photoshop, and then I brought that over to Painter. In Painter I used the brush tool to blend all the colors together. It gives me a nice volumetric painterly look, without spending hours on end. I then import that back into Photoshop and use it as my color layer and start tweeking and fixing mistakes. The blood game me the most grief in this one, I dunno why it was so difficult but there was always just something wrong with it and I made a lot of mistakes trying to fix it. Sorry. Enjoy! |

Coloring Link With Ocarina in Photoshop 6 |
This is me coloring a picture of Link I drew a few days earlier. I scanned it in as a B/W lineart at 300 dpi and used Photoshop 6 to color it. Because of my slow computer, I had to record it at 1 frame per second and play it back at 15, so some of my movements and actions are very fast and hard to tell, although I did try to slow down so you could see what I was doing. I didnt think I was going to put a background in, maybe a simple gradient at the least, but I didnt like how that looked and I improvised one on the spot. Hope you like it! If you have any questions about what happened in the video, please feel free to ask. I know some parts just fly by too quickly to understand what I did. |
